It has been a long time since I have blogged. Now after my graduation (yes, you read it correctly ;); I am graduated!) I travel together with my family through Sweden. It is my third time in Sweden, it is gorgeous. Beautiful lakes & endless forests, and furthermore, the weather is perfect!
I keep it short since there is much fun to do here. Bye!

Spain or Germany??
Who is gonna win the Europa Cup 2008?? Spain or Germany?
Listening to our National Anthem, i am confused... in the first verse both Germany and Spain are mentioned (see the verse in English below). In first instance, the Dutch might support Germany...however we never will forget what happened in the final of '74. In two years we are back for revenge...regardless the winner of tonight!
William of Nassau, scion
Of a Dutch(GERMAN) and ancient line,
I dedicate undying
Faith to this land of mine.
A prince I am, undaunted,
Of Orange, ever free,
To the king of SPAIN I've granted
A lifelong loyalty.

Basel marks end of Oranje party

After all the celebrations in Berne there were commiserations in Basel on Saturday night as the Netherlands – and their massive band of fans – reached the end of the road at UEFA EURO 2008™.
Defeat
Yet again more than 100,000 orange-clad supporters were present, crowding the streets of Basel before marching to the stadium behind their brightly coloured bus. At the front of the coach was the destination 'Wenen' – Vienna – but it was not to be after a 3-1 extra-time quarter-final defeat by Russia. However, the fans will live long in the Swiss memory; the local population had voted the Netherlands as the team they most wished to see triumph after the co-hosts' elimination.
Stunned
"Of course we are disappointed, we didn't expect to be eliminated," explained a stunned Rob from Venlo. Linda from Maastricht added: "I can't find the words to explain how I feel. For me it's just like asking a player to analyse the game immediately after the final whistle. I need to calm down first." Still ,with a mixture of defiance and disappointment, they celebrated a final 'Oranje-Party' in Basel before making their disheartened departure. Now, ironically, they have their fingers crossed for Guus Hiddink's Russia, in the hope that at least one Dutchman will become a European champion.

Brilliant Dutch thrash France to qualify

(CNN) -- Netherlands thrashed France 4-1 in the match of the tournament so far in Berne to secure their place in the quarterfinals by finishing top of Group C.
For the second time in four days the rampant Dutch produced an attacking masterclass.
Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring and Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder added others after the break as Marco van Basten's in-form team sank the French in the same way they did world champions Italy here on Monday.
